I always try to see the silver lining and make the best of everything. You can be realistic and optimistic at the same time..... When we are squeezed, what comes out is what we have inside. If people believe the world is a bad place or that people are out to get you,that\'s what they have inside and it comes out in even a minor stressful situation. You don\'t have that inside. I don\'t as well. I\'m a lot happier to see the glass half full never be afraid of being who you are. I heard from a person once that we need to stop looking for the lion because that brings about the fight or flight response check first to see it is only a kitten. Seek knowledge about things that concern You and because you have the trait of being optimistic don\'t just go about crying out FIRE! Get the bucket of water. I personally come from a large family of optimists and,I too dwell far more on the positive than the negative. There does.however, have to be at least some Realism tossed into the mix from time to time too. A good book to read is \"The Power of Positive Thinking\" by Norman Vincent Peale. It remained on the New York Times Best Seller List for many..... many weeks some years ago. There just aren\'t that many occasions in a real day to express my thoughts on men wearing women\'s underpants, accidental pregnancy, cheating spouses, pharmaceuticals, random drug testing, defeating random drug testing etc. If there were I would be nearly identical in real life as here.
